These terms are the agreement between you and GuestSpy. They set out who may use the service, the one rule that matters most — that you monitor only your own children or a device you own with the user’s consent — and what you can and cannot expect from us. Please read them before you create an account.

1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, pairing a device, or otherwise using GuestSpy (“the service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Cookie Policy, which are part of this agreement.
2. Who may use GuestSpy
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You open and control the account as an adult, and you are responsible for everything done under it. Keep your sign-in details private; if you think someone else has your password, change it and tell us. The account holder is accountable for the settings they choose and the devices they pair.
3. Your licence to use the service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use GuestSpy for lawful family monitoring, in line with these terms. You may not resell it, rent it out, or offer it as a service to others. You may not copy, reverse-engineer or tamper with the app or panel except where the law says you may, and you may not use it to build a competing product.
4. Lawful use — the rule that matters most
This is the heart of the agreement. You may install and use GuestSpy only on a device in one of these situations:
- a phone belonging to your own minor child, for whom you hold parental responsibility;
- a device you own and control, where the person using it has given informed consent; or
- a device where the adult using it has clearly and freely agreed to be monitored.
Covert monitoring of another adult — a partner, spouse, ex, friend, employee or anyone else — without their knowledge and consent is strictly prohibited. It is not what GuestSpy is for, and in many places it is a criminal offence. You must not use the service to intercept communications unlawfully, to stalk, to harass, or to control another person. Being transparent is not optional: the app is visible to the person using the device by design, and you must not try to defeat that. Our Acceptable Use Policy spells out permitted and prohibited uses in full, and you agree to follow it. You alone are responsible for having a proper legal basis and the necessary consent before you monitor anything.
5. Setting up with your family
GuestSpy is built to be set up in the open. You agree to tell the person using the device that it is installed, to keep the more sensitive features off unless there is a real reason to use them, and to review your settings as a child grows. Enabling a feature does not remove your duty to use it responsibly.
6. Free to start, then simple tasks
GuestSpy is free to begin: full access for the first 10 days, no credit card. After that you keep it running by completing simple tasks such as sharing a review, referring a friend, or sending useful feedback or a translation; days are added after a quick check. There is no subscription, no auto-renew and no hidden premium tier. Core location and the basic guard stay working for free. We may change how tasks and credited days work, and we may decline a task submission we believe is fake, automated or abusive.
7. Availability and honest limits
We work to keep GuestSpy running, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, update features, or change how parts of the service behave. Some things depend on the phone and its platform: a child-side app for iPhone is still in development, call recording is best-effort on modern Android and may not work on every device, GPS accuracy varies, and a feature can be limited by Android permissions or by an update from the device maker. We describe these limits honestly so you can plan around them, and you accept that GuestSpy is a tool that helps, not a guarantee.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, GuestSpy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet every need, catch every risk, or prevent every harm. Monitoring supports good parenting; it does not replace it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Because the service is free to use, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited accordingly. You are responsible for how you use the data the service gives you.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using GuestSpy at any time and delete your account from the panel. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy — in particular any covert or unlawful monitoring of another person — and we may do so without notice where the misuse is serious or where a person’s safety is at risk. Where the law requires it, we may report unlawful use to the appropriate authorities. When an account ends, the licence in section 3 ends and the associated data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. When we make a material change we will update the date above and, where it matters, tell you in the panel. If you keep using GuestSpy after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive authority over any dispute. [Insert the governing law and courts for your jurisdiction here — this placeholder must be completed with legal advice before publication.]
